Frequently asked questions
Got questions? Here are the ones we hear most. If yours isn’t covered, drop us a line at hello@epic-itineraries.com.
Is Epic Itineraries free?
Yes, you can get started for free — no credit card, no trial that expires. Free accounts include one collection, three AI itinerary generations per month, and the ability to save content from anywhere. If you find yourself wanting more collections or more AI generations, there’s a Pro plan for that. But plenty of people will never need it, and that’s fine by us.
Do I need to create an account?
Yes, you’ll need an account so your saved content stays with you across devices. Sign-up is quick — email or Google, and you’re in.
How do I save content?
Right now, there are two ways. On your phone, use the share sheet — the same button you’d use to send a link to a friend, except you share it to Epic Itineraries instead. On desktop, paste a URL directly into the web app. We’re also building a browser extension that will let you save pages with a single click while browsing — that’s coming soon.
Can I use Epic Itineraries on my phone?
Yes. It’s a web app that works on any device with a browser, and on mobile you can save content using your phone’s share sheet — the same way you’d share a link with a friend. For the best experience, add it to your home screen as a PWA (progressive web app). It’ll behave like a native app without needing an app store.
What types of content can I save?
Anything with a URL. Blog posts, YouTube videos, TripAdvisor pages, Airbnb listings, restaurant reviews, social media posts — if it’s on the web, you can save it. We detect the content type automatically and tag it accordingly, so a hotel listing looks different from a restaurant recommendation in your collection.
What does the AI actually do?
It reads the content you’ve saved in a collection — the blog posts, videos, reviews, listings — and organises everything into a day-by-day itinerary. It identifies places, activities, restaurants, and accommodation from your sources and arranges them into a plan that makes geographic and practical sense. And here’s what it won’t do: it won’t invent places, add filler recommendations, or suggest things you didn’t find yourself. Every item in your itinerary traces back to something you saved. Your research, structured.
Do content creators get credited?
Yes, always. Every recommendation in your itinerary links back to the original source — the blog post, video, or guide it came from. The people who create great travel content deserve that visibility, and we think it makes your itinerary more useful too. You can always go back to the original for more detail.
How is my data handled?
We store the URLs, titles, and metadata of the content you save, along with the extracted text so our AI can read it. Your data is not shared with third parties. We use analytics to improve the product, but your saved content is yours. See our privacy policy for the full details.
Can I share my itinerary or collection with others?
Yes. You can share collections and generated itineraries via a link — handy for group trips where everyone wants to contribute finds or review the plan together.
Do I need to have a destination picked before I start?
Not at all. You can start saving content before you’ve decided where to go — that’s actually one of the best ways to use it. Build a general inspiration collection, and when a trip takes shape, move the relevant bits into a trip-specific collection.
What browsers are supported?
The web app works in any modern browser — Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Edge, you name it. The browser extension is coming soon, starting with Chrome and Chromium-based browsers (Edge, Brave, Arc), with Safari and Firefox after that.
Is there an app I can download?
Epic Itineraries is a progressive web app (PWA), which means you can install it directly from your browser — add it to your home screen on mobile or install it from the address bar on desktop. No app store needed. It looks and feels like a native app.
How do I get in touch?
Email us at hello@epic-itineraries.com. Whether it’s feedback, a feature request, or a bug report — we read everything and we’re genuinely happy to hear from people who use this.
Who built this?
Epic Itineraries is built by Edwin van Leeuwen at Brainstorm IT, a small product studio in the Netherlands. The idea started over a decade ago — two friends, some beers, and a shared enthusiasm for trip research that kept getting lost across too many apps. It sat as an idea for years, too big to start. What changed was the approach: think big, start small, move fast. We built it because we wanted to use it, and we think others might too.
